Just looked at your Sony camera. Looks to be very nice. Sony has really upped their game in still photography. They are in the sensor business too. It use to only be Dalsa and Kodak that made high end sensors in the CCD days but cmos sensors these days are very good.
The low sun shot above is a sunset shot. Yeah I was young and dumb and only my 2nd trip to Wyoming. Rappelling down in the dark was just horrific (and with no headlamp). Made it back to camp at midnight completely spent.

I'm working on getting the ability to travel more as it seems there is a big beautiful world out there. I am in an area that is pretty monotone right now and seeing your pics makes me want to get out and really see some new areas. I wish I had the bug more when I lived in Montana, beautiful place there. I spend too much time indoors...

Oh hell yes, Montana is my favorite hiking and fly fishing state. Brown bears will keep you on your toes.

I have been looking at this little camera for a bunch of situations. Mostly for climbing as the Canon is just big and as I get older I'm trying to lighten the load. And just to have a small carry all the time camera that has excellent still and video images with a fast lens, view finder and flash built in. I need some sort of optical or evf finder, can't only have a screen.

OH Boy, this should be good, if those are into this more than not . Me I'm a hobbyist at best, but do like taking photos. My family and some friends are always are saying, oh sheesh Jays here and has a camera as they all go and hide. I had received nice comments in regards if I do this as a side job when I posted up ride photos, kinda before Pashnet got started, but this was for me and about the ability to share an experience with a road, not so into the making money from it. Believe it or not I used a simple yet effective point and shoot Fuji S6500 for my stuff, I was into the whole bunch of lens with my Olympus stuff, but since digital took over and I liked the keep it simple part with what the new digital cameras can pull off, even cell phones now are getting it down pretty good , (IF) then there's the packablity on a bike is a huge deal. another why to my up grade to the Fuji XS1. Talk about a do it all camera. I've never had a reason to jump on the high in cannon like boxs. An example, this years calendar shot, believe it's March was taken with a little point and shoot 7 years ago with a 6m Fuji, it's all about the lighting and framing, ;) most of the time luck plays a lot of it too. Bring it on guys.

I used to ride with a guy named Rex. His pictures, back in the good old film days, were always first rate. He used simple point and shoot cameras but he always got fantastic pictures. I asked him one day how he got such great shots/ He said "I read the little book that came with the camera."

Sometimes B&W pics have lots of drama and mystery. That B&W of the car on roadside Jay is really nice.

That contrast between the almost B&W and that brilliant red is sharp.

This one was taken up on Mt Baker Washington. Believe it or not, that was with a Samsung Galaxy II cell phone.

One of the Central American countries. Don't remember which. We were on a cruise.

Someplace in Great Britain. What I find interesting about this photo, is not so much the quality of the photo, but look at the floor lines on that building. Over the years, a couple hundred I believe, this building moved, shifted and sank yet all the doors and windows open and close. I am sure there have been repairs done over the years, but over there, they build buildings to last. Not like us wasteful people over here in Canada and the USA where we build them to be torn down in 50-100 years.
    IMGP0456.jpg

And last but not the least, for now, my vacation home. We were having a BBQ and guests were just starting to arrive.
    IMGP0411.jpg

That's it for now. All but a couple 35mm and one camera phone, all were taken with a Pentax point and shoot. It doesn't even have a lens that pops out of the camera. Have broken a few of those when the one/off button gets pushed while it is in my pocket.

So that shot was taken looking basically south. So cool. Why can't you see the border line running through the lakes like you can on Google Maps Satellite?
