The magazine called to interview about the photo, and asked my what the title was. First thing I thought of was "Endless Hike" so that's what it became.

A good friend of mine is a fine arts photography dealer, black and white stuff. Friends with Ansel Adams and the like. These are some of his. Used a simple Sony and Nikon cameras.

    You can work with critters
    [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

You can work with a theme like a marble.

    [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

You can do black and white or color.

    [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

You can even get paid. He documented the building of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame for architect I M Pei from the ground up. I went with him a few times. This is the dedication ceremony.

Just takes practice , patience, imagination and a little skill. That's all.

North Cascades hiking over to Challenger Mt. Right after I took this photo of my friend a chunk of ice as big as a refrigerator came flying down. Late morning sun caused it I think.

Yeah as much as you can practice crevasse rescue the reality is most of these types end in basically a V at the bottom and if you fall your probably fucked. Go head first and your proper fucked.

One of the benefits of being a helicopter pilot is you get to go out in the back country and see things like this.

Whats fun to me in this photo is, this is FS road 99 on it's way up to Windy ridge Mt.St Helens. The corner in the middle of this photo is the corner in the next photo.
