There is great riding around there. I hit it often. And RVFR... That is not the same as N Seattle. Just come up the valley thru Fall City and Duvall and you will have a wonderful ride. Be happy to provide you with a route.

The 101 loop is open year round. And no snow unless you ride up to Hurricane Ridge (highly reccomended). The camp grounds are also open year round. Just saying. I will still meet and greet anywhere, but I am looking for a weekend in May to do 101 and 112/113.

There is also this that I plan on attending on May 4th. It would be nice to see a large VFR contingent there.

Hmmm now that just might get me up there. Good job letting us know Bernie ;) Double hmm? 3-4pm freeway traffic heading north on 5, as 5-6pm would be suicide. #$*%@!

    Use the HOV lanes..

As great as that ride around the peninsula can be, If it's raining anywhere in WA it's there..

The state made HOV lanes on 167 and 405 a toll lane. SMH. like that's going to solve the traffic problem.

My bad. I thought you were talking aboot Northbound I-5.

Another bike event is the Isle of Vashon TT, the date of which is the weekend before or after Labor Day. There is a Ferry fee involved. Still that trip up I-5 though but only to Tacoma for you Southern boys..

The bike night at Hinshaws is kind of like the Hog (hogwallers) nights at Harley Dealers.. I wonder if the guy with the food truck is selling baluts and bagoong. The IOV-TT is non commercial. A few years back Honda offered to cut the sponsoring club a check. It was declined.

Ooo thats right, didn't think if the HD guys where the one they are actually targeting for this sort of gathering. Good call.. Yep been and like the Vashon island TT , thats one gathering that's way cool, worth the ferry ride. only thing is a few years back the HD guys again sorta started ruining it, so the meet date was kept a secret. yea it's either the weekend before or after Labor day usually or I've seen it two weeks past labor day. unless your one of the secured members, it's kept under wraps. Can't blame em.

This is the first bike rally at Hinshaws, and they don't sell HD bikes. They do however support vintage bikes. I would not expect too many pirates.

Nice... more than likely I'll be there as well as long as the weather doesn't get sketchy.

Hinshaw's is among other things a Honda dealer with a great rep. One of their top wrenches John Smith (for real) is a VME member and restores and rides old Velocettes. Hinshaw's has been generous for years donating door prizes to the VME with no questions asked.

What I said was that the Rally reminded me of the HD events that are held at dealerships and are populated by harleydoods & dudettes , many of whom are obsessive-compulsive buyers of harleyfarkles.

I did eat a Balut once and Bagoong is an acquired taste once ya get past those little dead fishies who see to be staring at ya from inside the bottle.

That's kind of a myth.. Below will kind of explain what is really going on. The problem dudes were and are mostly those who have bikes that are much faster than they are. Seen more than one bite the asphalt.

VME has been at this event since 1982 and has it well worked out.

Hey BB. You put the Bagoong on the Balut? The Balut is a almost formed duck in the egg. Not for me. But I would be down for some Lumpia from that Food Truck...

The Balut was accompanied by some Tequila. Bagoong ain't all that bad. I would suspect the guy on the food truck may be schlepping Lumpia and Pancit.

I'll try and dodge traffic by getting there earlier and stay later, that said 4ish then. that will giving me time to kick tires and drool, get a couple raffle tickets, look at helmets drool some more. but this is all weather dependent. BTW I'm self employed, sometimes that's a good thing, sometimes not so.
