    Well, it's official. I received my packet with my pin, certificate, and license plate frame. Unfortunately, I screwed up on the dates of the ride. I was so tired at the end of the ride that I wrote 7/27 as the end date even though the start date was clearly 9/27 on my witness form and all my receipts. My handwriting on the trip log, though looks more like 7/27 at the beginning and then I just use quote marks. At this point I'm just glad to have my certificate.

    Maybe I'll do the 1500 mile ride this year and write neater.

    I'll second that. There in nothing like an iron barreled Sportster or a BSA 650 Twin to make you appreciate modern machinery.

    Thanks for the mini GS review. I really like the bike (color especially) and in another time and place I would consider owning an adventure bike.
