Thanks Steve. I really don't plan on buying a top rack so I should be fine. But still do post your results! :)

If you don't like the farm tractor look, check out the Pro Bolt website for quarter turn race type fasteners. http://www.tastynuts.com/acatalog/ Open the catalog, go to accessories, and check the quick release fasteners. They also make a nice replacement for the shite plastic push ins on the inner fairings that break after the first oil change. I have the red on my '98 and they look and work great.

    Hello VFR world,
I finely got my new RR installed....bike has been down for a week.
Back to the new Pins from Sargeant ....can't believe what a difference that little pin makes on appearance.
I will work out the problem of mounting the Ventura bag system next week...
    Later guys...

J.S., I know you just spent $$$ for the quick release pins, but I'll bet that the same type pins with a longer grip will hold the bags unless there's a clearance problem.

...Yea...I hope...I was thinging the same thing.
I didnt want to pay the $21.00 ea from Mc Master.
But seeing how easy and good they look its worth it...
I also picked up a carbon fender in the front...

    Hey Waldrm,

Do you have these quick release fasteners on your bike? If so, how easy was the install? Do you have any pics to show us? I'm looking at getting some over the winter and can't decide which ones to get. Thanks.

Tiffany, my bike is apart for polishing the wheels; will get pics when it is back together.

Pseudo Dzus fasteners: Aluminum 6mm fasteners with a D-ring attached to the head. Cost me something like $15 for four.
