I was performing some general maintenance on the ye olde 750 and just stoked myself out on how clean and good running the bike is. With having so much less time to just focus on one or two rideable bikes it is easy to forget the basics once they are up and running, at least for me. Lol

still less than a thousand miles, but a pleasure to ride. Still working on suspension settings, but other than that she is good. Here is a cool random photo…thus the title. Add your own random service photos to this post if you feel like it.
    Cheers!

No $40 has ever made me as annoyed to spend as the $40 I spent on these two fairing clips I imported from Denmark, or Britain, or Bosnia, or wherever the hell I found them. But having to cut off the safety wire I had used to hold the two side fairings together on the VFR700 made me break down and order some. The fact these were OEM on so many Honda bikes and they're near impossible to find now seems silly. It is what it is I guess. Funny thing is I'll get more utility out of this $40 than a lot of other $40 I've wasted before.

That picture probably wasn't the spirit of the thread though, hah. So how about this--I'm still pumped with how the paint and graphics turned out on my 500. We're slated for another 3-6" of snow here this week. I spend a lot of time hiding from the winter and cold inside. The VF is the prettiest thing I own, so I'm glad that turned out well at least. Looking forward to actually getting it outside again. Need to wait for the collector's plates to get in, so I can stop paying registration every two years.

My old ST1100; is this the easiest bike in the world to do a valve re-shimming on? Once the bodywork is out of the way, the cam covers are conveniently aimed out and upwards for easy access, and although the primary cam drive is by serpentine belt, the cams are then driven by gears off the idler sprocket, so are super easy to whip out and replace.

The 5th gen VFR is just as easy on the rear bank, but the front bank requires some unpleasant contortions and skinned knuckles because the work experience designer put the oil cooler bracket in a stupid place. IMG_2983.JPG
