    Incompetence or sabotage or WTF??

You have a legendary history with the Honda AMA racing team and can fairly be credited with assisting in numerous Honda victories and championships, but after defecting to another team (why, Al??) and returning to Honda YOU must take some blame for the negligence and ineptitude of the AMA FX/Superbike/Superstock racing efforrt.

After running 3 leading bikes out of fuel in last year's Daytona 200, for which several people should have been sacked on the spot, now we have further causes to suspect your dedication to your job, and this year's poor results at Daytona were a sad disappointment and embarassment to all Honda fans!!!

    Farewell, AL.
    You once were great!!!
...please hand in your passes, keys, and credentials at the Honda front desk early Monday morning when you pick up your last check.

    and don't forget to write!

Are you referring to Hodgson's retirement? DuHamel blamed himself for the damage to the clutch of his bike.

With Miguel's many starts, in so many classes, over so many years did he actually damage his clutch or was there a mechanical fault in his bike??

I interpret his interview as saying "I made a normal take-off, but the clutch (or something) quit.

Well, he said that he got over-enthusiastic on the start and damaged the clutch. I'm presuming that he spoke accurately, and, that even with the number of starts that he has made, that it is still possible to make a mistake.
