Yours hasn't even hit puberty yet. I have 199,6** km on the clock. That is some 124,*** miles. But I'm like you. Well kinda. I'm going to ride it until I drop.

Do you notice any degradation in handling, shifting or power? I had an ST1100 for many years, but put only 91,000 k.m's on it. Never had any issues. The worst thing I can say is the 1st to 2nd gear shift was clunky, but it did it new, and did it the same 15 years later. That's pretty cool you got that many k.m.'s! Like a badge of honor.

That's really hard to answer having ridden the thing since new. To me, it seems to handle as well now as it did brand new. Then again when it was brand new, I was brand new to riding as well. Right now it seems to be a little clunky on gear changing but it is due for an oil change at 200,000 km so that could be part of it.

I am going to have the headset bearing changed this fall. Not that I notice any handling issues but this has never been done. I can feel a bit of wear when I move the handlebars while stopped.

I keep asking myself if it seems to be diminishing power wise, but like I said, it is hard to say over the time I have ridden it. Others who are familiar with 6th gen vfrs have ridden it lately and comment that it runs very well.
