Most folks will think you nuts as some stated but if it feels right DO IT! YOu have given me a great idea on what to do with the WIP with the Vetter. Now where's my welder. The car is an RDX right? Like the tire conversion. now to get some miles on the VFR and run it out to Washington to fit. Did you have kit shipped to local dealer or who did the fab? I'm pretty handy with lathe and milling mc and can weld so may try fabing myself. Nice rig.

    Hello Sidehack,

I build the rig myself. The sidecar is produced in Holland (where I live) at EZS sidecars I am not a professional, and the kit is made by me and a friend of mine. On our new site BSC Works in The Basic Way is a story about the VFR project. It is in dutch. Right now we are building a VF1100S with a EML sidecar. For a VFR is no kit for sale so we had to do everything ourselves.

I have made for over 4000 miles sinds the rig is completed. It is running very well. No problems so far. It's great riding the rig!!

Everything is possible, but the V-Tec does not have a rear swingarm fitted into the frame, but in the engine.
I don't think I would do that. Maybe it is strong enough, but I am nog sure. The 800FI has the same problem.
When driving a sidecar pressure on the rear swingarm are coming also from the sides.
    And the force is huge!!

That's the reason why I choose the RC36II.

I drove over 7000km with it now and it's holding up great.

I saw the film on Youtube! Nice job! What a great way to drive a bike. Also very strange to see.
Is the bike a RC24 from '86 - '89? Did you stiffen up the frame? Or was that not nessecary?

thx man... 1986 rc26 vfr700f2....i decided the best way to mount it was to build a steel frame around most of the aluminum....my sidecar with me in it is very heavy so i overbuilt everythng related to mounting it

    Doing that ruins a motorcycle.

Would you hitch a thorough-bred Arabian horse to a plow ???
