Having a break in the weather I'd been able to ride a couple of days, and noticed the fluid in the clutch master cylinder was starting to look like weak tea, so replaced the fluid.

With the SpeedBleed, took about ten minutes, including getting the stuff out and putting it away after. Love the things.

Yep, they are great. I used them when I installed the braided steel lines, and they do make a tedious job much easier and quicker. Works great when there's only one of you to work the lever. :eek:nthego:

Are they a one time use deal or will they work a few times or even more? It looks like they have some sort of sealant on the threads but after being loosened and tightened a few times does the thread sealant stop working?

I was on the Speedbleeder website the other day, and for like $10 you can buy a tube of the threadsealer stuff if you need to reapply it after repeated bleedings.

I've used them on a Dodge. The wouldn't seal completely after bleeding the brakes. Had to put the original back in.

Maybe I got the wrong ones ?

Possibly, or maybe the sealant was missing? That's only supposed to seal when you have the valve loosened to bleed, though, so I'd guess either flawed or not quite the right size.

I've had mine- brakes and clutch- cycled open then closed three or four times, so far still sealing when unlocked, and no leakage when locked.

How do you know which ones to buy? Do they sell them by model and year?

One word answer to all that is ailing you. If it were a Ford, you would have one foot in the grave. Couldn't resist.

I don't really know if these things are universal. Would be interesting to find out if someone knows for sure.

I will bite my tongue about Dodges so as not to offend sensibilities. Especially the 2014's

I work on 6 of them.
