I can't find a supplier anywhere.....has anyone found a source for these for the 8th generation?
Hell don't seem to make them at present. You could probably contact them and see if they would be willing to make a set for you. Maybe even use your bike as a test mule so you may even get them for free.
Many companies will make custom lines. Gafler & Core Moto will make lines to your spec. Plus they can be made in fancy colors.
Such a complicated arrangement with all the blocks and junctions that I doubt anyone will produce a kit for the RC79 so a custom set is probably the only option.
Contact HEL. They will copy your lines and they will even have the same blocks on them. Only problem, you have to send them your lines as a template.
Local tubes and hoses shop will make them for you copying your old lines. Sometimes they have to use parts from your old set like the blocks mentioned above.
No need to wait on shipping and you can support local business.
I was thinking along the same lines, I think I'll give the Hose Doctor a call and get some made
Well OOTV has had HEL I think 3 sets made with no problem. Of course the guy made me the wrong set and eventually got it right BUT wouldn't cop to it and really screwed me seeing I had a shop doin the work and had to pay for there time.
Being a business owner twice, when EVER I messed up I would always do the job over and admit it--- but hey that's just me doin the right thing--- world has changed.

Nothing I hate more than a shop going into denial for an error they made. We all make mistakes. Except me of course. Just own it and fix it. No better way than that to get approval of the customer.

Has anybody found a commercially available stainless steel brake line kit for the 8th gen non-ABS? I see Galfer has one available for just the ABS (the Deluxe trim in the states).
I had a Galfer stainless steel brake line kit on my CBR600 F4 and it made a world of a difference. I'd like to do the same to my VFR800 sometime this year or maybe during the winter.
The Galfer kit is the only one out there. ...EBC were supposed to be making some but they’ve not got it on the market yet, to me that means they’re not going to bother
Given the non-ABS is USA only and the lack of numbers I’d say you won’t find a kit
If you search for “hydraulic line repair” around your area then you’ll find companies that make one off lines for a living and they’ll be able to make them while you wait
This is a company I use in the UK
Hel do them. Someone has just posted up a complete set they made for his crossrunner.
I can’t find them on the company website, every other VFR not the 8th
You might have to send them your lines and have them copied. Did this with my 6g in 2007. They will come with all the oem fittings, exact copies.
I might do this approach but I don't like the idea of removing my lines and sending them off. Just the fear of them getting lost in the mail, etc.
Since the 8th gen is not a linked system and has the standard setup, my suggestion is to grab 10 feet of 3/8" plastic hose from Lowes and figure out routing that your would want. Then cut the line and then you know length of what you need. Also, you can look at the vendor site and pick out what fitting you will need.
Its not that hard, although I admit, Spiegler is local here and I just show up with my information and they build the lines to my spec.
Just looked at the brake line fische for the 8th gen, and it seems Honda doesnt understand the KISS principle - keep it simple stupid....
Contemplating a Galfer kit for my Gen5... if one has say Convertibar risers, do I need to ask for longer clutch and front master cylinder lines? How much longer, a couple of inches enough? Thanks.
