Haha. He was in the food mart at a Chevron when the HIPO rolled in and saw a spray painted bike with no plates. The clerk reportedly heard the perp say he was screwed because the bike was hot. Sure enough, they got it on the security camera.

Barney Fife was about to slap the cuffs on him when the dude just bolted and rest of the keystone cops couldn't chase him down. Don't believe everything you see on COPS.

Anyway, the dude has priors, a warrant out for his arrest, and is now wanted for GTA as well as resisting arrest. They’ll catch him soon enough.

    Damn that's painful to see.
How the eff could anyone, even a thief, do that to a beautiful moto?!

    Such scum...just unbelieveable.

Pretty convincing argument for a full replacement from the pix.

I'd be sourcing NOS at Dealerships for a new bike + shipping to SoCal.

This might be something the members could lend a hand on instead of just the wringing of hands.

Be sure to let us know who your insurance company is, and how well you are served by them.

We will want to know weather or not to patronize this company!

This is why we pay out our hard earned money, to make sure that when the big loss happens, we are able to recover.

Wow, that's so F'n wrong on so many levels. Here's to wishing you the best. If its worth anything I'd like to believe your insurance will do you well, just be ready not to back down. Only trick here is stating the current value, hopefully they go by MSRP. and go from that. Not the big discounted ones.

My insurance company treated me very well after totaling two vehicles, one being a VFR, in 10 months time. I was paid about 2K OVER retail book for both vehicles. I forgot to complain. On another note, if someone ever steals my bike, I definitely don't want it back. No telling what they've done to it. Besides, everyone knows you can get a new one for 6999 out the door........

I hate to sound like a libtard but anyone eating at a gas station restaraunt has probably been punished enough already - at least the poor guy had good enough taste to steal a VFR - shouldn't we just forgive him and get him the social services he's crying out for? :witless:

Seriously though ragtop, it sickens my stomach to see those pics - I hope they catch the dude and chop off his hands.

I agree! Depends on the insurance. I have progressive for both auto and cycle and they have been always great. I totaled a car a couple or years ago and came out really great. Not common, but who knows.

I hope that some of the posts are correct for an insurance adjuster. If you wreck it or if it was stolen. Taken into account that the 2014f sold for MSRP of 12,999 and the deluxe at 13,599 or more. With depreciation you may get 10,000 and some of us like me payed 7,000 to 8,000 for the bike. Not that I want anything to happen to my bike but is so let It happen within these IMO estimates. We could come out even with mods and start all over again.

Utah is not a state of angels and we have a lot of theft, but this is exactly the reason that for every bike I have owned that I do not leave it out of my site for more than 3-5 mins. Work is safe, My garage is safe, trips are some what safe, because I camp and sleep next to it and have insomnia and a loaded HK P30, and do not leave it outside a hotel. I tried caliper locks, alarms etc. The caliper locks even though they have that reminder sling on the handle actually cost me $800 in body work because I was not used to it and did not have body protectors. Lesson learned the hard way. Shit happens and it sucks. But in my opioion like others always wish for the TOTALED call from the insurance if the bike or car is within a 2-4 yrs. Do not take it back for hopes of rebuilding

Thanks for the added info, that makes sense - initially it sounded like he was in the back seat throwing up all over himself and somehow got away... lol Hope Karma comes around and kicks him hard in the nuts or he suffers an aneurysm or something... haha

People like that don't live a good life. You have to be a white collar criminal to expect anything but bad from your crime.

He'll struggle, in and out of jail, always on the outside and never really part of society. He'll never have a good job or money in his pocket for very long. No security. He will always be looking over his shoulder. Eventually, booze, drugs, or a third strike will take him out for good.

He will never prosper. In the end, he'll just lead his miserable existence until he fucks up just a little too much and he leaves the world a slightly better place.
