Survey! "When do we all put the VFR to bed for the winter and how?"

Reminds me of my first trip to California. My brother had just moved down there with his new American wife. This was February 1974 I think. They lived in Buena Park. Just a block from Knotts Berry Farm/ Sister in law had gone out for something or another all dressed up in a long coat with a fur collar and all. Gloves and scarf. Temperatures were something in the area of 50 - 60F. She was complaining about how cold it was. They had their heater turned on to warm up the house. I was out front in my t shirt and shorts drinking Coors. Back then, American beer was like maid's pee.

The weather down there hasn't changed much but the beer is now far superior to what it was back then.
