    LOL,

This bad boy followed me home yesterday. I traded the 2015 FJ09 for it back in December but I couldn't get the actual exchange/trade done because of all the snow back then. I really wanted to wait until the COVID19 thing was past us to make the exchange at the dealer, however the dealership put all the "physical distance" and "no touch" /"no entry" rules in place and I was able to get it yesterday, my first time off the farm in weeks, and my last for a while too I'd guess.

Anyway, its a 2017 Suzuki M109R B.O.S.S. (Black-Out Suzuki Special), 7000km on it, 1800cc V-Twin with Freedom pipes and Power Commander. Should pull like a freight train, these things are quick for a cruiser. It was time to add a Muscle cruiser to the mix.... job done !

Thanks Capn' the blue is gorgeous, nicer in person than the pics .. The bike is bloody huge, makes the VF1000R look like a little light-weight. The pipes sound wicked too.

Im undecided on the aftermarket windshield. functionally it will be great but im not keen on the looks. IMG_9001.jpg IMG_8853.jpg IMG_2273.jpg

Yeah... ditch that shield. It's not terrible, but I'm not diggin' it. At least get those mounts black.

The headlight cowl is a really cool element of that bike and it's totally covered up.

I don't think I would be burning many slab miles with that bike. That's a boulevard cruiser and a country road bike to me.

In any case, it's fucking cool. One of the very few power cruisers I like.

Maybe that shield can be trimmed to show more of the cowl and still be useful.

Yea we will see, id prefer to ditch the windshield altogether , but I have to run some highway to get to the good riding roads so.....we will see how it goes. I have options.

It was either this or a Harley V-Rod Night Rod

    Just Awesome......
The collection, the work and the shop. I'm jealous.
Especially of the yellow 748 I think I see in one of the pics. My favourite bike after the 86 VFR. I've heard the valve adjustments can be frequent and a pain though.. Still thinking some day I will own one.
    Keep up the posts.

My 86 VFR restoration is first up. But then again I keep thinking of buying something I can ride in the interim. If I sell my summer car its a done deal.

Thanks Guys, once COVID is passed feel free to wander up for a visit.

BTW the 2000 748 is for sale, I had it on Kijiji and took it down when COVID hit. ~10,000km on it. There are lots of valve shims for sure since the desmotronic valves have no springs, they use an opener rocker and a closer rocker for each valve, so more to check and shim if need be. Belts are not bad to do, and the valves are not difficult, just time consuming. The good thing is, the Duc's are built to come apart over and over again, they are far easier to work on than the Japanese bikes (I find).

New tires on the RC51 SP1 and wheels are back on. Now the long wait for paint for the upper fairing and the tail.

front brakes have been improving a bit, been slapping & snapping the lever to release air bubbles, and tying the lever back now and again, seems to be helping.

Rode the M109R for the first time today. Pretty fast for a cruiser, great gobs of torque and Loud as hell with the Freedom Pipes. Very comfortable bike.

This followed me home on the weekend.

Now I have something to ride while I rebuild my 86 750 and then my 86 750 project bike.
Not to mention building a new race car and the home renovations.

Of course I'm just going to have to tinker with it.
First job is all filters and fluids.
