I am going to be doing the Yamaha demo ride with NESBA on Sun 5/16. I may spend the weekend in Millvile. I checked TeamProMotion's website and they have a nice trackday deal for people getting started with trackdays. If you take their ART level I class ($295) you can get trackdays for $75 - $125 afterwards. I am trying to get some of my Club members on the track this season. Gotta check with NESBA and see if they can offer something similiar. My club members may only do 2 or 3 trackdays this season.

I will be riding my recently aquired 03 Yamaha R1 down to Millville. My poor VFR is in need of some work. I gotta do the chain and sprocket, change tstat, rectifier, and battery, fix rear tire leak. After all that I will still need to change oil and tune-up - I still love my VFR. I have been busy with the R1 and have installed a Scott's damper, D&D slip-on, double bubble windscreen and a few other mods. Wanna get the R1 on the track later this season.

Thanks again for coming out elwray!

It was a blessed event folks. My buddy Jeff got bumped to I group, another friend John tore up B group for a first timer. He actually went through turn 7 at a blistering pace! My brown eye tensed up when I witnessed it LOL! It was impressive.

For me the first sessions went well; then I proceeded to suck in the afternoon.

All in all a blessed first track day of the season.

coming out of turn 1 on north course and lost the front, bike went sliding but the tires dug into the dirt and it flipped causing most of the damage. cold track + wet track + 4 hours of sleep in a truck the night before = that picture.

I dunno about Full Course. Seems like a loooong track with a lot of ridiculous speed. If there's one thing that scares me, its the straights. I'm not afraid of going 170mph, but when there are too many people out there only going 100mph with varying lines things can get messy. Patriot looks like fun on a light bike...not an RC51.

And the people who get caught! I was a bad boy and had to sit out a session Saturday. When I see a Ducati ahead I ride faster and an inside pass through the kink got me some extra down time during the 6th session. Little did they know I usually sit out one afternoon session on multiday track visits to rest. Bwahahaha! Apparently 3 people complained that I was too close to them too, causing them to stand their bike up and change their line going into turns...if only they had lines!

Every group was full Saturday and the morning sessions were pretty crowded while everyone learned the track. I don't think I had a solid clean lap til the last session.

While there weren't any VFR's present all weekend which is abnormal (someone ALWAYS brings a VFR!) there was an XR1200 in A group for one session. He was pushing the bike for all she had but still was going very slow. It was interesting to hear that twin circulating.
