Do you want a tidy tail? I have one for you! I apparently cannot work with plastic and will negotiate the tidy with you since it is still PISSING ME OFF!;-) If I do not get rid of it I am in fear of using an osolating tool to cut the freaking back end off. :)

Fatshoutybloke- I am not aware of the following mods that you have made.
    Acrylic headlight Protectors
    Front fork protectors
Please let me or us know what and where did you purchase them. Thanks

Hi Bubba! The headlight protectors are these https://www.pyramid-plastics.co.uk/...014+>+Clear+Headlight+Cover&partNumber=091908 and I used a pair of these on the forks http://creamcarbon.co.uk/cream-carbon-fork-protection.html. They're intended for USDs but I didn't see why they wouldn't do the same job on conventional fork tubes, and with a cable-tie around the base to stop them being pushed down they keep the forks covered. Roads are covered in grit and salt during the winter over here and it doesn't do exposed metal any good at all.

bought a factory rear parcel shelf - lighter and better looking - the shad mounting plate mounts to it no problem and went with the .95 bar risers from motopump instead of the 1.25 - nicer angle

Thanks Fatshoutybloke, I bought the lens protectors and I have still to buy the fork protectors. I do have a question about the fork protectors. Do they keep condensation in and potentially harm the fork tube?

The 8th gen. badly needs a slip on muffler. The OEM can badly chokes up the exhaust system and is a behemoth. A slip on will let the bike rev up quicker, use the torque quicker, and helps it at lower rpms. This particularly comes in handy in tight twisties where instant torque is always rather handy. Other than that, I'm happy with it and the tail bag that never comes off the bike. Oh, and the other great mod is putting real GASOLINE in it's tank. It likes it.

I would love to get an eighth gen and see what adding the best of the 5th/6th/8th gen parts, plus some other basic bolt ons together to see what happens.

The 8th gens received an extra 0.2 compression (from 11.6:1 to now 11.8:1) to add some much needed low end torque, but honda continued with their trend of tuning down the header/velocity stacks for more low end at the expense of top end, plus this time around put milder cams and head porting as well. The 8th gen received velocity stacks that are even longer and skinnier than the 6th gen, that was already longer and skinnier than the fifth gen's. It also received a new header design that pairs the rear 2 cylinders together and the front 2 cylinders together before collecting all four together. It has yet to be tested, but I would like to see someone do testing on the 8th gen vs 1998/1999 catless bigger bore header (if it even fits) plus slip on, to see if the header was tuned for lowend as well and maybe also try a tyga/two brothers/erion header. Then I would like to try fifth gen velocity stacks and also r6 velocity stacks, since those proved them selves as a great topend mod for 6th gen motors. Finally I would like to put 6th gen heads on the 8th gen motor, as the 8th gen got softer intake cams and smaller exhaust ports. I am sure the 6th gen heads and cams would love the 8th gens added compression (if the added compression was from revised 8th gen pistons, not combustion chambers). Or possibly try adding 6th gen cams to the eighth gen heads, with maybe some port and cam work. Then wrap it all up with Rapid Bike Tuning. Eighth gen engines are finally starting to pop up on eBay, so this might happen eventually :)

Why don't you get a hold of a new bike or an engine off a crashed one and do all the various things you say will improve the bike. You say you have the qualifications and the kit so why don't you do it.

Put your money where your mouth is.
Your beginning to sound like the other guy now.

If your right your onto a winner.

Lol oh wow. Let me just drop +$2000 right now to make someone on the internet happy :eagerness: I would like to do it eventually, but I don't see why I would be obligated to do it right now, simply for answering a forum discussion question and providing some information lol.
