Hi guys, Tapping into the collective wisdom here. Having done approximately 7000 miles on the stock tires that came with my 2014 VFR, it's time to get a replacement. First, any recommendations for longevity? I'll like a set that'll give me the same if not more milage. Mostly carve the canyons on weekends, and may take one or 2 trips next season (same thing I did this year). Second, anyone know any site with deals for black friday (asides the one I have below)? Third. I found a deal for Bridgestone T30's at cyclegear. I know that there is a newer version (T31's) but anyone with experience on these tires? at $150 a pair is it worth sticking to? THanks everyone.
I have had the T30 EVO for the past two seasons. I have all the confidence in the world in them as long as they are at least somewhat warm (did have some traction loss at colder than 40*F while leaned over). Here is photo that I took a week or two into them, have since been able to remove the "chicken strips" that are seen here. Lots of fun giving it full throttle while coming out of a corner.
