I suspect MCN will not be the only ones telling Honda to keep their newest fagship bike...

Well good. Maybe they will scrap that uggen fuggly thing and go back to the drawing board and come up with a sexy looking lighter version that you can at least get to the gas pumps without carrying spare fuel. To those who have a 7th gen, I appologise. I meant every word.

LOL no surprise, this just make it more then easy which bike to get. Like it's been said Soichiro Honda has to be doing flip flops. It sure ain't the company it use to be.

Well.... I did hear the President of the United States use the words "safe" "clean" and "nuclear power" in the same sentence.

I would hazard to answer that question with a YES.

That totally explains the attitude that I was given at the recent motorcycle show from a rep after he found out that I own a 07. It's like Honda sent out a world wide memo warning all to avoid us. I betcha a million bucks they have been scouring our forums and learning about what we really think.

Honda, it seems, is saying we can keep our opinions when they designed and built the "VFR", let's see what happens when we keep our money too...

+1 it would be great if they did a refresh on the style and get it lighter.

I don't see why Honda went off on a tangent, maybe they wanted to challenge the V-Max. A 1000cc gear driven cam NON v-tec engine would be fine, or a turbocharged 800, keep it somewhat affordable and it would probably sell better. The auto trans should have been saved for a new ST1300, it's a shafty bike anyhow and it fits better in the higher price range.

You'd think they'd want VFR riders on the damn thing... solid comparisons mean more bike sales... but hey, if "shamu" sucks, forget it...

and as reports state, good reports of a bike is what helps sell the bike, so just saying ok, is pretty much sayign forget it stick with the previous verison.
