Thanks for bringing this thread back from the dead  I'm glad your happy with your 6g but please don't be talking smack about the 5g, it took the different generation owners a long time to become a semi happy family at VFRW and the last thing we need is a match to rekindle the fire, winter will be here soon enough...

    No way..you are all wacko's...

btw..i have changed my opinion of the 5th and 6 th engines..after going backwards from a 05 to a 00,putting on 20,000 miles, as much as i want a new 09 bike, and would still love the unchanged 09 vfr, I just don't want that vtech motor back after enjoying this one.. For me the non vtech has proven to be a bit quicker, much better on fuel, cooler sounding, no #$%# efi low speed glitch, and way simpler to maintain..So yes, no comparison for me. I'm talking engines only of course. When it comes to the whole bike, yep, i still love the looks and chassis of the 6th, and of course would rather have a 09!! But I now call it a tie, especially when price comes into it!
I am right, ig you don't agree with me, send me $$ and I will.

    ....thank you!!
    yes I am bored.

I must say as a 6th gen owner i really want to ride a 5th gen and "feel" the engine.
also who the heck resurrected this?

I guess its confirmed its officially winter

I did swap bikes with kingsley a member on this site who rides a 5th, for a short ride. first thing i noticed was 5 gen was smoother throttle... power felt the same.... suspension did feel different i preferred my bike but then thats what I'm use to and @ the time he had shitty tires on. and ya i prefer look of 6th gen

A-men and a-men!!!!! I would love to own a 5th G (and the sportier 4th G) but I have only one ass to place on the saddle and a limited bank account. Please do not rekindle the fires that Taz and other of his ilk set. 5th Gs are grerat rides. I like them. It's all good . . . .

You may admit to being bored, but you certainly are incomprehensible. But I would like some $$$ too.

this point has not been made clearly enough, so just so you guys know: the 4th gen is the
    best-looking/fastest/nicest-sounding/most-reliable/having-the-best-mileage
    of them all :))

    (yes, it's winter all right...)

It makes me laugh, they are like Harley riders who missed the Shovelhead Engine and the Bardall oil. :vanity: [IMG]

Anyway, where can you buy a brand new "old bike"?

Wow. I've haven't visited this site in 2 months and I can't believe that this thread is still kicking. It is definitely winter here in the northeast, so can we get another 10 pages out of this thread before spring?
