I put pictures of an extra vf750f solo seat cowl I had about two months ago and it sold in a week.

Thanks Risoto, how much did you get for it? I have one and don't think I am going to use it so want it to go to a good home.

what does it look like.... paint wise.... my back corner of mine is ripped off (got bike that way) guess the person before me did not know the seat had bolts holding it on. and I also need the piece for around the tail lights.

I just realized you are probably asking about a stock rear seat cowl. I thought you were talking about a solo seat conversion cowl. I have seen rough used rear cowls for $15 and shipping but the rare new old stock cowls sell for as much as $150. Hope this helps

Anyone know how they install? If you remove the grab bars the locking mechanism has nothing to hold on to.

On my VF1000F the grab rails come off and are replaced by a pair of "L" brackets that cover the holes from the lack of a grab rail. Then you have to punch a couple of holes in the seat where the cowl attaches to the seat....finally you have to replace the seat lock with a unit that allows you to unlock the cowl and a small lever on the new locking unit allows you to remove the seat.

I can take some pics if you want some.....

Here are some pics I just took....the latch on the cowl is the hardest part to source....next would be the lock on the single seat cowl. As you can see the seat attaches to the stock seat by making two holes in the original seat. I hope that makes sense and sorry for the poor quality of the pics... 20131107_180222.jpg 20131107_180343.jpg 20131107_180251.jpg 20131107_180324.jpg 20131107_180330.jpg
