Hi guys, I have 2014 VFR 1200F. It's my second bike and I love it, however I noticed that it's hard to lower the fuel consumption below 10l/100km (my fuel consumption indicator is showing something between 10-13l/100km. on average). I tried to ride it on lower or high speed, even try to look if it's connected to the RPM (high/low RMP - what will be the consumption). Also I'm not sure if there something wrong with the fuel consumption indicator or this is normal ? Have you noticed what the fuel consumption of your bikes is and at what speed or RPM is it lowest consumption ?

Hi and Welcome to the MadHouse:Welcome:

When you get time please add a post in the Introductions part of the forum - tell us a bit about your VFR and your riding history and as the folks on here like photos please upload a photo of your 7th Gen at home in Bulgaria. It is easy - just click the Upload a file link and follow the prompts.

As for the fuel consumption I find gauges can be quite misleading - with the range and fuel level sometimes dropping alarmingly as the tank gets low. You might want to check out real consumption data from similar VFRs here...

10 to 13ltr per 100km certainly seems high! Are you using Ethanol blended fuel? What is the state of your air filter? No dragging brakes? Is its performance noticeable poor as well? Are there and EFI Fault codes? Have you done an actual fuel consumption test, rather than rely on what the indicator is telling you?
