    Hi All
Changed rear disc today, everything came apart easy enough but after resemble have found that once I tighten up the rear wheel main nut I cannot turn the wheel. It goes solid then as soon as I loosen nut again it frees off.
Very odd caliper is not mounted so no drag from that, had it apart a few times , nothing appears to be missing and bearings are good.
    Any ideas ?

What nut are you referring to as the "rear wheel main nut"? The 4 lug nuts, or have you converted to a single nut rear wheel?
Or did you totally disassemble the whole rear drive hub and are referring to the main nut that holds the whole hub in place?
    What year VFR is this?

If you removed the axle to install new disk, I would suggest you put something back to front or left something out.

Oops, noticed it was the rear wheel brake disc. That would require removing the whole thing.
My mistake. You really only have one choice: take it back apart and check everything against
the Service Manual to make sure all is correct. Then reassemble.

Had it apart a few times now and cant see anything wrong, going by the parts fishe online nothing is missing, I didn't check his much drag I had before removing the wheel in the first place but obviously couldn't have been as bad as now. It's on a 2000 Aniversary addition VFR pre V tec, just the single large nut. When its nipped up by hand everything is fine but as soon as I tighten further the problem begins.

Do you have a copy of the Service Manual? There's one online here I believe. You've mentioned
checking against a parts fiche, but sometimes that may not work as well. There could be an
assembly procedure that isn't obvious, but is specifically mentioned in the Service Manual.

Does this distance spacer wear over time, my only thought is that its not spacing off the sprocket carrier enough and when I tighten up the main nut its clamping the carrier to the outside of the bearing. Is there a minium thickness quoted anywhere for this spacer
