Hi, looking for some tips and info on picking up a VFR. Took out an 06 this weekend with 10k on it, listing for 7250, pretty positive I'll need new rubber though. From what I've heard on these bikes 10k isn't much. The other prospect is an 07 with 13k on it for 7800, anniversary colors. Anyone know of any deals out there? Any information appreciated. I'm moving back to the Maritimes mid April and want to pick up something before then as the used selection back there is non-existent to a certain extent.

    Welcome.

I'm no expert on the new ones, but believe it or not, that's pricey for a used bike. There are new leftover '07s, new in the crate, for $7000. Look at ebay dude

+1 both of those seem pretty expensive for a used viffer. Do they come with bags or any other extras... as mentioned above there are brand new 2007 with 0 miles for $6995 and even then they are having difficulty selling. good luck

As you sound like a newcommer to the VFR....

The bikes sound pricey because Honda just released their new version of the VFR which is a 1200. They lowered the price on leftover inventory to move them. Lots of people payed WAY more money and anyone trying to sell a used '06 or '07 is quite pissed off right now. It's a great time to buy new if you're in a position to.

Lots of crazy Canadians show up here (and some of them think they're bigshots now 'cuz the olympic hockey gold medal) and I'm sure one of them can give ya some good advice.

I am indeed new to it so thanks for the info ;) I started out with a criuser as a kid, moved to a 900 Ninja, but now I'm about to turn 30 and don't want something too crazy or hunched over that I can enjoy and take my wife out on too. A good friend of mine touts the vfr as the king of all arounders.

Well it has been a couple of months, where is that new bike announcement?

Did you get a chance to throw a leg over one yet?

Yah you are probably right, too bad though as there are plenty on the market up here right now. They are asking a mint for a used bike.
