    Hi Free_spirit

    Welcome to the MadHouse:welcome:

Once your new VFR arrives, head over to the "introductions" forum and say hello to all the folks - don't forget to include a photo or two of that VFR. As you will quickly discover folks on here really do like to see photos, and of course they can be a big help when it comes to trouble shooting problems over the inter-webby!

It is a good idea to update your forum profile to include the bike specs and rough location (city or town is fine) so they appear alongside all your posts. That way if you hit problems or need help, you may find someone nearby willing to swing by and offer help or advice, especially if there is beer in your fridge!:drink:

It is worth scrolling down the home page on here, and having a look around in relevant sub forums - you will find links to online manuals in the "specifications" and loads of other useful stuff about your vtec, including known issues, fixes and mods.

Just like here, it looks like folks back in the UK are starting to enjoy some decent riding weather. Hopefully it won't be long before you too can get out and discover sights like this and understand why folks on here really do love their VFRs.:vtr2:

Hi all, took possession of a '99 VFR in black with 14700 miles on. Thought it was proper with it's history all stamped up. Not worth the paper it's written on. Quelle surprise!
Steering head bearings replaced as they were bone dry with scored seat...Needle rollers in and very lovely steering.
Pulsing brake lever...EBC rotors and pads...no pulsing lever
Reg/Rec connector suspiciously dark so plug and play mosfet Reg/Rec installed.
Found a puddle of oil on the table in front of rear wheel...shock had taken a pee! Nitron shock installed. Huge improvement.
Forks serviced...you should have seen/smelt what came out!!
Fuel Slash exhaust 350mm in brushed stainless...just loud enough with baffle.
Motad collector...on going saga due to tapered outlet not allowing link pipe to seal...keep you posted on this.
I have a small tyre/bike business and now have the accounts for plug and play mosfet Reg/Recs, Nitron shocks and Fuel exhausts. Oh and I now know my way around a '99 VFR 800 LoL......If you need anything or tips then give me a bell 07900 994646.

Another UK resident here, collect my new VFR800F on Friday 10th July, off to Pembrey bike racing on the Saturday and Sunday so should be ready for first service on the Monday, then if the weather holds out I might just take a ride up to Lindisfarne, a trip I've promised myself for ages

    Hi Guys and Girls.
I need your help in the UK.
Me and my family are moving to Cambrige (UK off course) from Germany around Christmas, the problem is, where to live. Do you know if there are any areas in Cambridge that we should avoid?

Try www.police.uk as a starting point. It will give you some information about crime rate in any given order as well as break it down into type of crime. Not the most accurate but it will give you an idea. Also don't forget Google Street for an up close view of areas you are looking at.

Another UK rider checking in. South Devon to be precise...

Seeing as it seems we are almost at the end of our nice warm riding weather, I'd be curious to know how many of you stick it out through british winters and how many tuck their VFRs away for the duration to be hauled out in the spring? I've ridden though all 6 winters since getting my licence, but each autumn I start wondering whether I oughtta join the fairweather club and stop freezing my arse off in the cold and rain!

I know I'd be missing it sorely on the first crisp, clear winter's day though.

The membership number he gave was for the entire forum, I
believe. Misleading. Seems like a valid idea to me. I'd like to see
a Stealth Interceptor (naked) forum, and a forum on Advanced
    Riding Skills.

Hey Bruce. Regarding riding skills, have you seen the California Super Bike school forum?

Hey, Knight. Your suit of armor is looking exceptionally spiffy
    today.

I have now, and thank you very much. I'll be in there up to my
    elbows real soon.

I need to find someplace that rents little dirtbikes and has acres
    of flat dirt.

Hi Phil and welcome to the MadHouse

Congratulations on posting a photo with your first post and choosing the fastest colour VFR :potstir:.

When you get time please visit the "introductions" section of the forum and say hi to the rest of the folk on here.

You may want to update your forum profile (Forum Actions/Edit Profile) to include the specs of your VFR and an approximate location (city/town is fine) that way if you need help you may find someone is willing to swing by and assist - especially if you have a well stocked beer fridge:drink:.

    Good luck and stay safe.

Technology has come on a long way since then. We also have average speed cameras too. All digital so if you can work you a way to fool a digital camera.

Mainly based in Englandshire, Scotland and Wales whilst having some are relatively free of the affliction, with them being located on main arterial routes.
