I spotted several white VFRs escorting her Rolls Royce to the wedding chapel :D

EDIT: For those who missed it - here's a vid where you can see the VFRs in action :D I see 5 of them together at the 6:18 mark - wonder how many there were in total?

Yes - they have good taste in motorcycles. I see that one has a clutch lever - I wonder if they have any with the DCT option? Might come in handy in that line of work.

She's pretty hot, smart and funny - here's a good interview I found of her from 5 years ago. I'm sure Diana would have approved if still around.

Yeah, celebrities are pretty much of little, to no, interest to me. That was why I had to Google
who she was. :) I've found that I haven't heard of a lot of these people that are listed as celebrities,
or famous, or well known. It's got to be that stupid rock I live under. :)

Why do people keep saying they think Diana would have liked her? Unless you knew both, how can you possibly know?

These bikes are part of the Royal Protection Group, each bike has a consecutively numbered plate. They consider themselves to be the best of the best and make fighter pilots look humble.

I'm pretty sure I would have liked Mark Twain, but I've never met him personally. I'm pretty sure I would've like Harry Truman vis a vi I think Harry Truman probably would've like Mark Twain.

    Isn't that transitive property?

Not a fan of the royal family so really don't give a shit one way or the other. Wife got up in the middle of the night to watch the wedding while I got up for a pee.

I would suggest that those officers on the bikes spend more time practicing their skills that we do riding for pleasure and or commuting. I would be interested in watching them go through the paces.

What I find quite impressive is that how Honda pushed the usual "BMW-cop-image" aside and shoved their VFR 1200 in.

Before that the Pan European 1100 and 1300 were used often, but after a police officer had an accident due to the speed-wobble, the police quickly switched to BMWs. (but c'mon, riding so fast on a Pan European that the speed-wobble becomes a problem...).

    Anyhow.

I really find the 1200's really appealing. They seem to handle nicely, otherwise the police wouldn't use them. They have good power, are slim for traffic-filtering. And since the police are often putting around with low speeds or leave the motorcycle idling, the engine has to have a decent cooling system. (My '03 800 Viffer tends to get a little hot in warm weather)

The only thing that's throwing me off of the VFR 12oo is the fuel mileage. And Cops don't have to worry about that, since the state/police takes care of that :D

Are they licensed to kill? :D

I really like them too - especially in white which I don't believe was ever offered in the USA. If I was a member of the Royal Protection Group I'd ask them to get me the DCT model and a lever action shotgun :D
