Friends, I need your help. Those of you that have been around for a while know that during the two decades I have been running VFRworld, I have not asked for much.

One of our most beloved members, and one of my best friends, AM - AnneMarie, has volunteered her time as an admin on VFRworld for many years. She has posted countless trip reports and has shown what it means to be truly part of an online motorcycle community.

For those of you that don't know, in addition to having two amazing kids in college and high school, AM has been a kindergarten teacher for many years. Her students think she is a superhero when she pulls up, decked out in pink, on her shiny white VFR.

Last week, the transmission on AM's car blew. This car is her only way of transporting herself and the kids to school and events. As many of us know all too well, transmission replacements are NOT an inexpensive fix, especially on a teacher's salary!

I've started a GoFundMe campaign to help AM. If you have interacted with AM on VFRworld, or if you just want to help a fellow rider in need, I hope you will consider contributing to this campaign. Even a little bit will help AM get back on the road.

VFRworld has always been about bringing our passion for this motorcycle together, and this is a great opportunity to show our support for one of our own.

AM has a kid in college? Never thought she is over 30.....
$5K -- time for another car? Healthy down on a solid used car?

Glad to help, she doesn’t need more problems. Thoroughly enjoy reading about her exploits.
Her smile is worth every penny.

Wish I did not have my own fresh car repair bill.

Good luck with the fix or replace, AM.
I admit to enjoying your travel and other posts.
Agree with Mello dude, thought you were < 30 yo.
But, at my age most people not using a walker look young.
    Ride on. :wheelie:

I've actually seen her at R3, she doesn't look over 30. I thought she was 26 when I first met her.

My welfare cheques start trickling in next week. I will definitely help out then. I have never done go fund me before. I assume the instructions on how to donate are clear.

It's like purchasing something online, enter in your CC info and click OK.

I won't do it by CC as our credit cards will likle consider this a cash advance on the credit card and the interest rates jump out of this world, and back date it to your last paid off balance. I hope they accept PayPal. I can put money in there to accommodate this

I don't believe the CC consider GoFundMe as a cash advance. More like Paypal. So it's unlikely you'll get hit
with a CC fee. And, while I don't like crowd funding like this, GoFundMe has lifted their onerous fees for
    personal fundraising like this.

It's treated like a regular purchase with a card.

I sent straight to her. That way I pay for the transaction, GoFundMe didn't get it. Just hope I had the correct address.
