Would help out within 3 hours of Edmonton. If you're going to Alaska, Edmonton is the last major City. Also, if you're headed to Jasper National Park, you may pass through here. Call Admin members to get them to alert me of your situation. (P.S.- I thought I did this a year ago, but my name never went up?)
Equipment: Pickup truck, can carry two bikes. Tools, some knowledge, Gas can(s) (Lots of "Dirty Oil" in Alberta!) I'll fix ya up, or get you to someone who can.

Thank you, Glenn! I'll add you right now!

I can attest to Glenn's amazing rescue skills!
He popped my VFR onto what seemed a foot-high sidewalk, rolled it up into his truck, and whisked me away to safety.
He even provided a furry kitty for me to love on while there!

Thank you all for volunteering. It is truly rewarding to help someone in need and make new friends in the process!
    Keep the volunteers coming! :)

Oh yeah... and TC's RnT's are a somewhat popular choice according to the poll.

We need to get that set up. Derstuka...???

Only 7 votes for my dry, angry rub and tug. Must be a bunch of millennial's riding VFR's these days.

HI Nancy, when you get a chance you need to introduce yourself (with a photo or two of your bike) by making a new post on the Introductions forum. Glad that you have joined us!

Just ran across this thread for the first time...I'd like to pitch in for the north San Diego county area.

Is this thread itself the database of willing VFR-assisters?

It is all VFRW volunteers. You should post up your details in the format suggested in the original post though. Makes it easier for those who need assistance to find you. I don't think anything is put into any data base. Just this thread so you might want to book mark it. I have.

    Thanks for jumping in.

I'd sign up, but I think there has to either be a map dedicated to this purpose, or a shared Google Sheet. In the moment I need help, I could spend an hour looking to see if there's someone near me......but it's not going to happen, I suspect.
A Google Sheet, shared by the link only, does place trust in the hands of everyone on it.....but I'd risk my name/cell phone/location/email to something like that.
I can make it happen if people want to try that.
In an moment of need, you'd open the sheet, organized by state, and start looking at cities.

Just a little while more and you'll have a buddy. Hoping I can get my shit together by September, and keeping my fingers crossed that all those deals I've been seeing will still be available.
