No, I'm not (at least I don't think so, it sounds bad, I don't actually get the reference); I'm not saying he can't like his Nick Cave, nor am I saying anyone can't like the other ones on my list, like I said, music is a personal choice.

I'm just saying they are not good singers.

I was just hoping someone was turning me on to someone cool, that I might enjoy, that I hadn't heard of yet, and was disappointed cause I couldn't enjoy that. Again, personal choice of mine.

That and I'm an asshat and like to give people crap for fun...

I clicked the Nick Cave vid for about a nano second. That was enough, just shaking my head. Who am I to preach...

Fair enough perhaps I should have added a disclaimer, taste in music is different with different people and guess my taste in music has always been quite wide, varied, changes often and this is " What are you listening to now " thread, just so happens Nick Cave is what I'm currently listening to though that may change to '60s psychodelia, '70s punk, '80s Alternative pop or Rammstein by Sunday.

Admit it probably helps my 2nd self purchase Alternate LP record was Nick Caves original band Birthday Party in '81 but best you don't listen to them either their sound is quite quite mad. As for your crappy singer song writer list I do have and listen to Bob Dylan and Lou Reed though surprised you didn't add Iggy Pop or Henry Rollins in ?

    Wow, Cyborg.
Currently my mp3 playlist consists of Sirenia Discography, and Nightwish Discography.
Phantom of the Opera, Bless the child, Walking in the Air and Sleeping sun, would have to be the first 4 picks from NW for me, if I didnt just hit "Party Shuffle". Check out Sirenia too.

Iggy Pop is a guest sit-in often in the band (my list), but I don't think Henry stops by... The reality is that the list is really for those artist/songwriters that "make it" and cross-over into the higher selling mainstream. There are many who are on the fringe who would qualify, but somehow "the list" is made up of artists that many people buy, and are "popular", yet can't frickin sing...
