Those who have smart TVs should be aware that their TVs are watching us. Samsung and Vizio are the latest culprits.

Back in the day of early Nielson Ratings first developed for Radio then TV (prior to color), an electro-mechanical device was installed with owner permission, in the TV set. The device was interconnected with the tuner and each time the channel was changed the device recorded the change on a paper tape. The owners were paid a small sum for their trouble. The Nielson folks being no dummies, tossed out the first two weeks of recordings knowing that most folks were not going to let anyone know they were watching junk TV.

Could this still be true in this latest semi-poll?

Oprah consults with Dr.Phil about losing weight. Dr.Phil tells her that he has a 100% method that requires her to sign a binding contract. She agrees. Dr. Phil then asks here to get down on her hands and knees against the far wall. He then asks that she do the same against an adjoining wall.

She asks if this is part of the treatment. Dr. Phil tell her it's not. He is having a sofa delivered later that day and wanted to get an idea of what it would look like.

This could make great TV on one of those 65" screens.

Just started re watching Game of Thrones from the beginning. Currently up to season 1 episode 7.

GoT has become a bit disjointed over the years since release. Re watching it from the beginning is really putting the story line back together for me and clearing up some plot points that had become a bit hazy over the years.
Well worth re watching for me. Hopefully I can finish S1-6 before S7 is released.

Oh, and having a new TV really helps the enjoyment. 58 inches of UFHD from upscaled BD disc. Looks great.

 

It's nice to see that some of the crew here have not superglued their remote buttons solid on MTV or the sales channel.

 

Incredible show, from the cinematography, sets, locations, acting and writing. Top of the heap by far.

Just heard this Billy Idol tune in my cage - reminded me of the nice video that went with it so I had to look it up on YT. It's okay to salivate over the actress because she was of (barely) legal age at the time of filming and she's now 45 according to this interview :witless: She mentions in the interview that Billy had his leg in a cast at the time from a recent motorcycle accident - which explains why he's only shown from the waist up in the video I guess LOL

LOL - speaking of a killer queen, I just saw this trailer at the tail end of tonight's Walking Dead - now THIS looks like good entertainment! Charlize Theron still looks great for being over 40. (CAUTION: this is the "restricted" version of the trailer - might not be work safe depending on where you work :glee: )
