one last piece of advice- for a very long haul take the front vender off and use a stop to go between the tire and the bike itself. This will take the pressure off your fork and fork seals.

Thanks for the tips. I will try them all the next time I have to haul the bike, which is soon. I have to take it in for the wiring harness recall, nearest dealer... 90 miles.

Hope you do well with the new trailer. I'd like to echo the comments about the small tires (e.g. get bigger ones with a better axel). I had a 4x8 trailer with 12" tires, and on the way back (to Louisiana) from the first Honda Hoot, one of the hubs blew out while I was going down interstate 12. Not fun. And yes, I had serviced the hubs with greese before leaving on the trip. Stupid me, I didn't do a complete walk around before heading home.

You trailered your bikes to Honda Hoot? wat?

I will keep my speeds near 60 when I run this trailer. I might get a better tire/rim in the future, but I won't get an axle. Seems like it wouldn't make sense economically.

Hey, at least I admit it. I had a limited amount of time, it was raining like hell in Louisiana, and I have some physical limitations from my exuberant youth.

It's all good. I am 35 now and can feel where you're coming from. Last year I did four 600 mile days in about a weeks time and I was hurting good.

Took the VFR in for the wiring harness recall, 65-70 mph, no problems. It was only 90 miles one way though.

I have the same trailer, after 3 years and 20,000 miles to track events all good. Tows well up to 90mph. Saw mention of trailer in a bag. A friend has one and while they are are convenient from a storage perspective they really don't tow well as they dont have a suspension and tend to wander and weave. I cringe every time I follow him. Invest in a condor stand for real easy loading etc.
