The secret is to lift with your balls, both of them!

You can probably do it, unless you are a midget. :Canada:

I'm probably making it harder for myself. I put mine on a piece of 6mm thick mdf to protect my patio pavers, so I have to lift the bike up higher with the centre stand starting at a shallower angle.
Plus I'm usually wearing thongs (flip flops?) or bare footed.

It's all in the technique. It's basically pushing down on the centre stand foot lever and pulling the bike backwards at the same time.

Damn it bubba, am I gonna have to ride back to SLC to solve this riddle? LMAO

For at home only, what if you rolled the front tire onto a plank of wood? This wood would not be under the center stand.

I must be one of those tenderfoots. I want a hard soled shoe or boot.
If you want to wear a thong or G string or whatever, that is up to you.
Just don't post a pic I end up wishing I could unsee.

That wouldn't be a good idea. While you would make it easier to lift the bike up onto the centre stand, the front wheel would still be sitting on the wood raising the front up and then the back wheel may be still in contact with the ground.
Defeats some of the purpose of putting the bike on the centre stand. Makes chain maintenance and cleaning the wheels easy as you can free spin both front/back wheels with the bike on the centre stand.

Another advantage of putting the 6mm mdf under the centre stand. It gives more clearance under the back tyre off the ground and you have more room the lift the front end up by hand to spin the front wheel.

You be allowed to disagree boss. :) This be the interwebz after all, where we are all experts with professional doctorates and PHDs. Hell, I even won the nobel prize and climbed mount Everest in my swim shorts and flip flops, WITHOUT oxygen! Yep, I am amazing,...however, please hold your applause....for now.

The idea was to help him "get it up" (wait, whaaaa?) and get the feel of it. This may assist in learning the (body) positioning and leverage which best works for him. He would then take the training wheels off, and voila...Bob's your uncle! It wasn't meant to be every time for the rest of his life, just a temporary prosthetic if you will.

Ok , I now have got my 2 systems on this, #1 (being in the garage and have the time to do work on the bike)

take of the soft luggage, add the grab bars or go lower on the frame, don't drink, Grab both balls and unit with your right hand to reassure you lowers and your hernia that it will be ok, grab the handle bars with left hand that had nothing to do with your unit at this point, Wear boots, place your dominate foot on the center stand, release your unit with the right hand and use the grab bar with it and stand up pulling, Done.

    # 2 (on the road) Fuck the baggage and lack of the grab bar and just get it done. And being sober at this point it will happen much quicker! Due to having a clean mind to get it done rather at home in the garage with a beer cooler. :)

Grabbing your balls is optional Bubba, but as long as you "feel" the love.......

"Grab both balls and unit with your right hand to reassure you lowers and your hernia that it will be ok,"

I think my key point here for me was the "hernia, actually two" Nelix.;-) I have to be careful due to not wanting to have surgery!;-) I have had them since I was 21. Small, but they don't bug me or hurt enough just yet to be out of work for a few weeks.

If it works with this heavy beast Kawi, it'll work for a VFR.
Sorry, my search for a small female centerstanding a bike came up empty.
    Use your foot and weight.

I'm sorry, but those clips of small ladies putting a bike on the centerstand mean just about zilch. Some bikes are easy to get on the centerstand and some are a real bitch to do. It all has to do with geometry. The easiest bike I've ever put on the centerstand was a 1979 GoldWing.
