The first Bathurst motorcyle races I visited was in '85 when the riots happened with a Channel 7 News car overturned and fire bombed, luckely had missed the riot due to camping at the nearby MRA Dam. Sunday morning was an eye opener as we rode back into the race grounds to what looked a disaster zone, unnecessarily heavy Policing followed by Rioting aside must admit it was a fantastic 2 days of racing where we covered the complete perimeter of the track and all vantage points each day.

A dual sport, have not done enough research to know what one, i enjoyed the ktm 750 a lot.
this is in addition to the vfr..i chose the vfr for a reason why would i chose another road bike? the vfr is still faster than i am.
thought those ducaties 1098 do look tempting...i give myself a week on one of those before i'd end up as a red skid mark.

well he ended up storing it elsewhere so I didn't get to ride it. however, a friend I ride with regularly has an FZ1. It's an 07 and he really likes it, but he swears the FI has a glitch and once he sold his R1 he used some of the money to add a power commader and he swears it's wonderful to ride now. He states that his rides are much more enjoyable now cause hi wrists don't hurt after 30 minutes.

I guess I answered my own question - an 06 Ducati Sport 1000. Complete with Termi's, bar end mirrors, slotted clutch cover, and fender eliminator.

    A very sweet ride!

The VFR will probably have to go in the spring though unfortuneately.

The Ducati Hypermotard gives me a boner! I also wouldn't mind a BMW R1200GS

I'd definitely go for a Triumph Speed Triple.

I think I would like to replace one of my VTR's with a Duc 848. I'm also holding out to buy my buddy's RC51. It's prepped right and I've ridden it on the street quite a bit but I want to give it a rip around the track. I would really like to have an I-4 Liter bike as well. I did recently added a DR650 to the stable but I haven't had an opportunity to get out on it as yet.

An NR 750 would be a nice one to have in the stable. but i'm thinking about those that I'd ride Yea have to agree a RC45 would be pretty cool too. Anyone see the new Ducati street fighter?
