I have a pair of Puma's for track days. A bit too tight for long distance.

Been rocking the aerostich combat lites for about 3 years now. Love them off the bike too. They look like "normal" boots and have sidi soles that can be replaced if needed.

Dainese Long Range D-WP, only touring boot in the shop that I didn't walk out of.
    Capture.jpg

They've done three years now and still look and work fine, still waterproof. Just a little scuffed up on the toes, nothing a bit of polish doesn't fix. Really impressed how these have stood up. Unfortunately they no longer smell as good as they used to :( Not much that you can do about that in this climate though.

Daytona TravelStar GTX for winter (wouldn't buy these again, the less expensive RoadStar GTX I had before are plenty good enough), Dainese ST Giro for summer.

Yeah, okay, I have to much free time but I really like the Spidi VR6 boots I bought last year.
They're lighter and more compact than my Alpinestars but not quite the same quality.
I will say the Spidis fit my wide feet though.

Just FYI you might want to check and see if they have protection in the right areas especially the heal cup. Most regular boots are not even close to what is required to be considered a motorcycle boot. Even big "heavy duty" boots don't make the cuts.

Basically any normal rain gear won't stand up to heavy rain while riding a motorcycle, for a variety of reasons. I tried to double dip by buying really good rain gear, since I camp/hike/backpack in the Pacific NW anyway. None of it worked, thus I now have goretex motorcycle gear too and all of it works.

I hare really become a CycleGear whore. That said, I buy what fits. Sometimes that means the most expensive thing in the store, sometimes it means a real bargain.

My daily riding boots are older CycleGear (Bilt branded), Pit boots. The velcro top strap sucks, so I modified them to a plastic buckle.

My weekend boots, when I am running around in full leather are Sedici sport riding boots. I think the current model is called the Ultimo.
