I'm planning on a check of non-vtec valve clearances. Trouble is i don't know how to tell which are vtec vs non-vtec. Can someone tell me cylinder by cylinder exhaust/intake outer or inner which is vtec? I have search this forum and checked videos etc but no luck. I did come across mention that the vtecs will be tight without the bucket pinned, so i reckon i can check all and eliminate those that are to tight as being vtec but it would be nice to know just which valves are vtec so i don't have to bother checking them.
    Thanks

Inlet are the inside 2 and exhaust, the outside 2. So in is in and out is out, which makes it simple.

You can work out exactly which valves are normal valves and which are vtec valves by consulting images in sections 8:13 (front) and 8:16 (Rear) of the 6th Gen service manual.

Bertye: Thanks a lot, that helps. I do have the 2002-2007 service manual but was not sure which bank was being shown in the pics showing the vetc.
    In-in, out-out, i like it.
