The wheels on my viffer are currently black but they have a fair amount of chips and scratches. At some point they need to be re-finished, most likely winter time or at next tire change interval. Was thinking along the lines of white wheels (bike is red) a la early 90's VFR750.

Anyone have or seen white wheels on a red 6th gen?

    Input, adive or suggestions?

I think it would look nice, now just paint the rest of the bike to match.

The white is gorgeous! Probably requires daily cleaning though?

White wheels rock, been thinking of doing mine just to be different. that or take off all the powder coating and polishing the outside of the rim. After all the tire changes they are starting to show more wear than I care for, so on the next set I should do something.

That red VFR with the white wheels is very nice looking. Would be better if there was some white on the bike other than the wheels, perhaps a stripe.

Thanks for posting that pic, that is a big help in visualizing.

Those early 90's VFR's are starting to appeal to me. Thinking - PROJECT

This is a pic of my 6th gen with white wheels. I love the white but they are very hard to keep clean. It's worth it.

The white does look impressive, but anything other than black or chrome is hard to keep clean. My red wheels are a PIA!!

I hate white wheels. Chain lube and brake dust make them look terrible and they require daily cleaning. I'd rather be riding instead of cleaning wheels but unfortunately white wheels are the only color that look good on my 3rd Gen.

    Regards,
    Rollin

I thought about white wheels for my white '06, but I feared cleaning them all the time. I like to ride...not clean my bike. I generally hit it with wheel cleaner to get the crud off...so I figured I'd do the same with the white wheels.

My other thought was to go with black wheels...
