Who owns a gen 8 after having previous gens?

You guys have it easy. In the UK that bike sells new for £10,699 or approx UD$16,550 ! :GULP

Bought my new non-current 2013 in May. Very much impressed. Saved $6000. Just made deal on 2014 new non-current for my wife Christmas Eve. Saved $4000. Bike looks very nice. She will be happy to ride it when snow is gone next year.

 

What is this "snow" thing you speak of and where can I learn more about it?

Here you go. At these prices now, it's becoming a deal hard to resist. 06-09 6 gens are selling for 5-6k, spending 3-4K for an 8 gen is worth it, especially if 6 gen is stock.
