Will a VFR1200 rear carrier fit...

....a 2018 8th gen VFR800F?

I got a decent deal on a set of panniers, topbox and carrier off a Crossrunner 800. I know that the panniers will fit straight on, I suspect that the topbox will fit the 800F carrier. However, i am pretty sure that the Crossrunner carrier will not fit.

Sourcing an 800F carrier appears to be nigh-on impossible, but there is some availability of the 1200 rear carrier (08L42-MGE-800 or 08L71-MJM-D10 ). Does anyone know if this will fit the 8th gen 800?

I've just picked this bike up after a long break from bikes. Loving the v-four sound, kinda wish it had another 30 BHP though!

 

To close the loop- yes it does fit.

I managed to source a new one from Blackpool Honda...apparently the last New-Old Stock in the UK. Bloody pricey though...£283 without the top plate adapter. Heavy too, but very well made.

Now got my 8th gen decked out with Crossrunner 800X panniers and top-box. The colour isn't a direct match, but meh, close enough and anyway I can't see the colour from the rider's seat!
