For the vtec, just undo 2 screws at the top underneath and then remove the covers. Underneath you will find 2 allen key bolts. Take them out and the screen comes off.

For non-vtec, you have to take the mirrors off first.

VTECs are very very easy. I'd swapped out
Windscreens 2 or 3 times over the summer.

Just so you guys will know, I just put on a Zero Gravity sport-touring windscreen on. It helped with the wind buffeting a lot. I'm 6'3", so the turbulance around the helmet was a big issue for me.
    I bought it at: www.exoticsportbike.com

i'm debating going back to the stock screen. i have a sport touring screen and it seems it pushes the wind up to shoulder/helmet level. i'm 6'1" so i'm curious where the wind blast is hitting you?

It was hitting me right at the neck and ears. The buffering was so loud I had to wear ear plugs even on short rides. It hits right at the top of my helmet now, and I've went back to headphones and listening to CD's. By the way, I have Gen-Mar risers also. I tried the Laminar Lip, it helped some. It's for sale by the way.
