It is amazing what you will do when the chips at are down. The biggest thing is, do something and think of what you are doing. Think of any downfalls of what you are about to do. You may not always get it right, but if it goes south because you did not act, then how are you going to feel?

Now for yourself. Most people do not have to deal with such things on a regular basis, even if at all. Traumatic experiences effects everyone differently. People need to understand this and not to be too proud to speak with his/her GP about what they experienced.

Rough ride especially with a passenger. With a passenger a bike is much harder to drive around a accident or stop. Doesn't sound like speed was a big factor. I always assume the worst from cars, so expect them to do the wrong thing most don't cut in front of you,but some will.

I almost had a feeling that's where it was. I've ridden there many times in the past.

By the way - nice job doing what you could to help.

The way I found out was a lady was trying to push me into the k rail on purpose..I was in the diamond lane and she was swerving in and out of my lane next to me. Got her license and pulled over to call 911...it wouldnt conect untill I got to work and a fellow Teamster told me add 1 to 911...it worked.
Found out the freekin mini van with 2 kids and some hag driving was registered to a Sheriff....nothing was ever done

Seems that a growing number of folks in the cycling community are riding with video cameras running and rear facing to catch these type of incidents. After an 18wheeler crowded me into the gutter on Thursday, I'm considering it as well.

Update: now it seemed to me at impact he was doing maybe 30mph. Flew 60' two somersaults and landed in a grassy "soft" rain soaked field. I heard that he has a broken vertebrate 2 surgerys on his leg. 7 broken ribs. Had his spleen removed and broken scapula.

He was wearing a top quality leather jacket, full boots, long gloves, jeans and helmet. Impact is impact.... I feel badly for him.
