Hell yeah! I'd buy and use one on long trips. Many campsites have warm showers and flush toilets anyway.

With the best of intentions. If you don't like camping.......you might try taking a hike.

without camping how do you do the bike rallies that are in the middle of no where? If you leave to go to one you miss all the fun stuff that goes on....camper is better than a tent but we use whichever one that we have when we go to the rallies. :) kristin

Try telling my wife that. If it doesn't flush, she'll hold it for a week, and she gets a little bit testy after a few days.

I dont think of the VFR as the best camping bike. For camping I use my KLR but no trailer, I just strap everything on the rack. I've also never towed a trailer with a bike, I feel like it would kill the handling.

Good luck with it though. If it gets you and the wife riding more, then I am all for it.

Pulling a trailer with a bike is like driving a FWD car...it's just not natural!

I wouldnt do that with my VFR, however...

A few bikes ago, I had an 87 goldwing with a trailer hitch, it was meant to pull a trailer tent.
I would do that in a heartbeat! Nice comfy ride with the wife on the back, nice tent with an air mattresses for comfort, some booze for fun, and of course something that goes boom for protection from wildlife and deliverance type folk.

But not my VFR. That one stays on the road and doesnt have to pull much around except for my skinny ass.

P.S. the goldwing had a CB and a CD player... Wouldnt trade my viffer for one, but would definatly get one in addition if my budget allowed.

in Michigan fwd vehicles are quite better. more weight on the driving wheels gives more traction on ice.
