I bought a 92 VFR at auction and fixed it up but, when I ordered a set of new headers they wouldn't fit. The headers are definately for a 92 so I'm thinking that maybe the bike I bought has had an egine transplant. The engine number is RC36E2302534, does anyone know how I can find out what year bike this belongs too?

    Cheers,

Take a look at the link below. It appears that the engine is from a Canadian or European 93 model.

    Thanks mate

Yeah looks like it is a 93 and that's why the pipes won't fit. Thanks again for your help.

Well in theory all 3rd Gens (90-93) should have interchangeable parts. I'm guessing the reason that the headers don't fit is because the exhaust components may be country specific. When you check the parts website you ordered from do the headers for 92 and 93 models share the same part number?
