yellow wire & regulator hot

    I smelt something burning when i observe
    1. the regulator was hot
    2. the yellow wire from regulator changes colour to brown
    3. the connector for the yellow wire swells funny and wire connectors brown
    4. 30 amp fuse melts
    It is a VFR800 Vtec 2005
    Can any body help me?

    that is what happens when your stator is in the process of failing
    somewhat easy repair. will cost about $200 in parts.
    not that common on a 4 year old bike though.
    following the stator replacement, check your R/R first!
