Looks great, congrats. If I had known you were looking I could have sold you mine and dropped it off, just shipped it off to the east coast last month. Enjoy that motor sound. :thumb:

Heh... I didn't even know I was looking last month. I had a thought, started checking eBay, had a price point I wanted to meet. Bid on several; but they all went beyond what I wanted to pay, then this one turned up and I got lucky.

That Sudco pipe makes pretty beautiful music. I will definitely enjoy it - as soon as this dang snow stops (and goes away).

    Question for the experts

Pulled off the seat today to install the connector for the battery tender and straps for the tank bag. After I had things buttoned back up I decided to turn her on and check things like lights before I go for a ride...

    Here's the symptom set:

    1. Front turn signals don't work, rears are fine (but blinking faster than normal)
    and
    2. Front brake lever doesn't light the brake light, rear is fine.

So... This sounds to me like a connector that isn't connected. Please note I didn't test these things before I pulled the seat; but the only connector I saw under there was the one for the lights at the rear.

Any of you VFKR-savvy guys know of a single connector (and it's location) that could cause these symptoms?

    TIA!

EDIT/ADDITION: I went back to the bike and noticed that the front signal lights are ON (as running lights) when the switch is on; but they turn OFF when either signal is activated (the correct rear flashes fast). So... perhaps it isn't a common fault.

EDIT 2: PO says the turn signal thing is because the lights were replaced with LED's (they aren't the stock signals). I can find out the resistor 'fix' for this; but why would that change the functionality?

Okay.. wrong place to post questions... :)

I did some poking around and found some suggestions - and solved the brake light issue mentioned above in about 30 seconds this morning (all the time I had). In transporting the bike with canyon-dancer type tiedowns, the connector to the switch got jostled loose. The brake light is fine now.

Tomorrow morning I'll tackle the headlight - perhaps it's the starter button not making a good connection; but I somehow doubt that. The headlight doesn't come on at all.

I'll keep anyone who's interested posted here.
