You know you're getting old when you call the doc for some pain medicine and he tells you it is now time to hire some kid to do some of the things you are calling him about now.

Yes. Don't put off things you think you should do now for some time later. Things change and you may miss out. Now I have the two kids (20's) across the street reminding me all the time saying things like " I thought you weren't going to do yard work like that any more?" Well at least these two are always willing to help when I need it. They were both born living at that house and are great people. Never have been a problem in the slightest.

You know you're getting old when you are sitting in your electric recliner, you know, the one that raises right up to make it easy to get out of, and you are sipping your morning coffee which has long gotten cold as ice, and you think back to the day you used to climb mountains but now you have to adjust yourself in preparation to having a fart.

 

Or when you know that after you have that fart, you need to re-apply the Preparation H.

 

You know you're getting old when if when you wake up in the morning and are listening to a French speaking radio station, you become unilingual French where you never spoke it before.
