:tinfoil3: can't flame me; tinfoil hat preserve us!

got an 84 750 in need of a mechanically inclined hombre this fall, tore into it pretty good; Ebay forks, seals for same, sonic springs for same, adjusters are good but have the preload caps too, brake pads, front tire, cbr shock and daugherty's adapter, (he rebuilt that & added a spring for my fat arse,) top end oiling kit, set the valves, and now I'm looking at the clutch that was sticky clunky grabby and generally grumpy when cold but smoothed out when warmed up and ridden for 10-15 minutes. ideas?

So, what's the question? Are you asking why the clutch is grabby until warmed up? If so, you're probably gonna need to replace it.

    I hope that's your wife....lucky dog you:twitch:

I need to pull it apart and look at the friction disks for something obvious, I have a haynes book to help there but maybe folks here have run into the same thing and it's a matter of just putting in a good moto specific oil or something easy, we'll see

yes hydromatic clutchamajig, no clue on when the PO did any work, when I got it the fork seals were puking, of course the pads were shot, the R shock was frozen solid, oil looked fresh (probably quick change for quick sell) and the front tire was showing the air inside in places, so I guess PM work was minimal if any. clutch hydro is next on my list after I mike the disks..
