    Hi Guys,

I got my first VFR800 2008 few days back. Bike is very nice but this is my first big bike so my questions might be dumb but I need guidance from experienced guys for few things:

1- Bike Clutch is too tight. Just riding after few minutes it becomes difficult (having pain in palm) for me to even press the clutch. Is it something because am new to riding big bikes or bike clutch needs few adjustments? Any solution for this issue? What should I check?
2- My Bike is reaching 100C~104c(212~220F) after riding few minutes. I am thinking to flush my radiator. Should I fill it up with Coolant only or 50/50 is better idea.
3- Bike is second hand so didn't came with any manual, if any body can share owner's manual. I am in Ghana so it will be pretty difficult to get printed manual.

For the clutch get an adjustable lever (ASV)
VFR known to run hot.....Flush the Radiator would be a good idea
You can download the manual here.......

The coolant should be 50/50 but do a little research as to which type to use. Not all coolants sold for cars are good for motorcycle engines, some have additives that actually do a bike more harm than good. If you can get some I recommend Engine Ice, it is bike safe and when I changed to it my VFR dropped 5 to 10 degrees on average temperature. Don't worry too much about the 200+ temperatures, that is normal. What is a red flag is if you get there real quick or that it does not go down much when you are going fast. As a rule it is always a good idea to flush and fill whenever you get a new bike, no telling how long the original coolant has been there.

    Hi Guys,

I ran into another problem. The handle lock in ignition switch is broken. I have to replace it but mechanic told me that he can replace the lock but I still have to have the key for original lock with it, otherwise bike won't fireup. Any solution or how can I replace this lock. Period, there is no official Honda support here.

Have you try to order direct thru Honda on line?
Any good locksmith can rekey or change the tumbler to match with your original key. I am sure other will chimp in with better ideas.
