Just got back into town, I like the Winthrop idea...the 14th is not great for me. I would prefer the 6th or 7th (if it could work for everyone else).

 

Sorry Kingsley but 6th or 7th is out for me. I already have a ride with some people at work planned for the 7th and to be gone both days of the weekend would not sit well. I am nearing the end of my week-ends off as well but a week day trip sometimes works for me, and possibly others as well. Did you see that great photo I have of you posted in my photo album?

 

... I see it now. I'll have to return the favor someday buddy - watch out!!

 

labour day baker ride

last minute baker ride Monday sept 1. weather so far looks good
meet @ Tim Horton's sumas way south side of hwy 1 block from costcos @ 8am. a nice leisurely ride to top of baker.(approx 4-5hr ride return)

Las Vegas June 2009

So I mentioned to Chomper that seeing as my wife does not ride, that I might fly her down to Vegas and meet her there after riding there on the bike. Chomp thought it was a great idea as his wife was a Vegas nut as well. I was wondering how many others are in the same boat. This of course is just a preliminary poll right now. My thoughts were to go sometime in early June. We could run into rain here on the wet coast but it should not be too hot in Nevada.

If enough were interested, I will start a thread to track this thing, much like what Jason Smith did on the Baker Ride, and invite anyone and everyone who is interested including those from Washington, Oregaon, and for that matter any other state that might be interested. Maybe we should look at an annual of biannual event. This time we could include Jason's suggestion of Mt St. Helen's in with this trip

I had in mind just a few days down in Vegas. We could all stay together there or venture out on our own while there. This could be up to each's preference.

Post up people. Let me know what you think.

I can certainly understand that Jeff. I could go just about any time but I am keeping my summer clear as a trip to Scotland is in the works for me as well. I could go in late May, or just about any time but I think any earlier would discourage most riders who are not nuts like me. I will watch what happens here on this thread and see where it goes. I will of course post up a specific thread soon as there is evidence of lots of interest.

Ride to Winthrop Sunday sept 14 for lunch and back meet @ Tim Horton's
sumas way abbotsford south of hwy,one block from costcos between 7:30-8am
leave @ 8 am to avoid boarder line ups.Harley-Davidson - Ride Planner - Shared Ride Plan
everyone is welcome! should be one of the last chances to do this hwy before the weather turns its rated as Washington's DH1 between marble mount and Winthrop. its a great ride lots of scenery and high speed twistys!
so far its Randy myself for sure and possibly kingsley and naga800
would be great to meet up with some US riders we could meet u in Burlington @ aprox 930 (just over an hr ride from canadian boarder +crossing time)

I have my new tires on and have had the starter valves sincronized, feels like a new bike! Hope we are still on for the 14th. No reason not to go two weekends in a row is there?
